Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam is a Tamil romantic comedy film written, directed, and co-produced by Dhanush. The film stars Pavish, Anikha Surendran, Priya Prakash Varrier, Mathew Thomas, Venkatesh Menon, Rabiya Khatoon, and Ramya Ranganathan.

Initially, Soundarya Rajinikanth was set to direct the film, which was announced in 2016 with Dhanush in the lead role. However, the project failed to materialize. Later, Dhanush took over the script and planned to direct it himself.

On December 24, 2023, Christmas Eve, the film was officially announced under the tentative title DD3, marking it as Dhanush’s third directorial project after Pa Paandi (2017) and Raayan (2024). A few days later, the official title was revealed.

Principal photography began on December 16, 2023 in Chennai. The film has music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar, cinematography handled by Leon Britto, and editing by Prasanna GK.
