About Basanta Nepali Movie
Basanta is a Nepali drama film featuring music, written and directed by Prakash Saput. It marks his debut as a writer and director. It stars Prakash Saput, Swastima Khadka, Anup Baral, Prakash Ghimire, and Kamalmani Nepal.
The Nepali movie Basanta was officially announced on May 5, 2024. The puja ceremony was held on September 22, 2024, at Kalika Bhagwati Temple, Baglung. The shooting was wrapped up on 18 December 2024, after 38 days of shooting. The entire movie was shot in Baglung, Nepal.
The first look poster was released on September 6, 2024, and the official trailer was released on March 22, 2025.

Basanta Storyline
Set in rural Nepal (2062/63 B.S.), Basanta follows the love story of Basanta Bik, a boy from a lower caste, and Shanti Sharma, a girl from an upper caste. Despite their deep love, rigid societal norms threaten to tear them apart. The rest of the film revolves around the struggles of the lower-caste community and and how they persevere.
