About Baaghi 3 Movie
Baaghi 3 is the third installment in the Baaghi film series. The first film, Baaghi, was released on 29 April 2016, followed by Baaghi 2 on 30 March 2018.
The film was announced on 19 December 2018 with Tiger Shroff by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment on their Twitter account by releasing a teaser poster. On 12 February 2019, Shraddha Kapoor was signed to play lead opposite Tiger Shroff. In June it was announced that Riteish Deshmukh has joined the cast of the film.
Shraddha Kapoor and Disha Patani, who played the lead roles in the earlier films of the Baaghi series, were both considered for the lead role in Baaghi 3. Ultimately, Shraddha Kapoor was finalized for the part.
In August 2019, it was announced that the shooting of the film would take place in Morocco, Egypt, Serbia, and Turkey. Principal photography began on 12 September 2019 in Mumbai and wrapped up on 30 January 2020.
The first half and climax are based on the Tamil film Vettai (2012).
The makers wanted to shoot in Syria but the producers Fox Star Studios declined due to safety issues due to which sets resembling the Syrian topography were built in Serbia.
90% of the stunts in Baaghi 3 were performed by Tiger Shroff himself, showcasing his dedication and expertise in action sequences. During an action scene, Tiger Shroff is shown running side ways along a bunch a bunch of cars in a junkyard. The scene was inspired by a scene his father Jackie Shroff did in Shapath, during the climax. In that scene, Jackie ran sideways on a wall.
Jackie Shroff and Tiger Shroff, the real-life father-son duo, were seen together on screen for the first time as father and son in this film.
Baaghi 3 was theatrically released in India on 6 March 2020. The film received negative reviews from critics.
The film’s collections were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic as the theatres were shut down, though still it became a commercial success. It’s the second highest-grossing Bollywood Film of 2020 earning over 137 crores Worldwide and over 97 crores net domestically in India with the biggest opener of the year of 17.50 crores net domestically in India.
There were plans for a re-release once the outbreak would end, but the makers instead decided to release it on digital platforms. The digital rights of the film were sold to Disney+ Hotstar.
The fourth installment, Baaghi 4, is in development and scheduled for theatrical release on 5 September 2025.
