Storyline
A battle-hardened army officer goes in search of his ex-lover’s child who is mysteriously kidnapped. Neha reaches out to the only person who can help her with her plight, Ronnie. He goes deep into the underbelly of Goa, facing off against drug lords, menacing Russian henchmen, and blood thirsty animals.
About Baaghi 2 Movie
Baaghi 2 is the second installment in the Baaghi film series, a spiritual sequel to the 2016 film Baaghi and a remake of the 2016 Telugu film Kshanam.
Principal photography commenced for the film on August 8, 2017, and it was shot in Mumbai, Pune, Shanghai, Goa, China, Manali, and Thailand. Tiger Shroff traveled to Hong Kong to undergo martial arts training under renowned action director Tonny Ching, while Disha Patani received acrobatic training to prepare for her role.
Initially, Jacqueline Fernandez and Kriti Sanon were considered for the lead female role in Baaghi 2. However, in June 2017, Disha Patani was cast after a successful screen test with Tiger Shroff. Producer Sajid Nadiadwala commented on the casting, saying, “They share an amazing onscreen chemistry, which was evident in their look test. Disha is just perfect for the role. I am happy with my cast and excited to kick-start the project.”
On 1 May 2017, Tiger Shroff posted the first look poster of the film on his Twitter account. The first trailer of the film was launched on 21 February 2018 by Shroff and Patani.
Action scene where two helicopters were to fly close to each other. Tiger Shroff had done the stunt himself without a body double. The jail sequence between Tiger Shroff and Randeep Hooda was inspired by Ghayal 1990. The scene between Sunny Deol and Deep Dhillon.
The third installment, Baaghi 3, was released worldwide on 6 March 2020, while the fourth installment, Baaghi 4, is scheduled to hit theaters on 5 September 2025.
Release Date
Baaghi 2 was released worldwide on 30 March 2018 including 3500 screens in India. The film received mixed reviews from critics. It film was finished with a budget of ₹590 million (US$7.4 million), including print and promotion costs. The film grossed over ₹2.58 billion (US$32 million) worldwide to become one of the top highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2018.
