About Shark Tank India Season 2 TV Series

Shark Tank India is an Indian business reality television series airs on SET (Sony Entertainment Television) India. The show is the Indian franchise of the American show Shark Tank. It shows entrepreneurs making business presentations to a panel of investors or sharks, who decide whether to invest in their company. Shark Tank India Season 2 premiered on 2 January 2022, Monday to Friday at 10 PM, on Sony Entertainment Television.

Shark Tank India Season 2 judges (Shark) are Lenskart CEO Peyush Bansal, Shaadi.com founder Anupam Mittal, boAt co-founder Aman Gupta, SUGAR Cosmetics CEO Vineeta Singh and Emcure Pharmaceuticals head Namita Thapar will remain part of the show. There will be a new shark in the second season, Cardekho co-founder Amit Jain.

Two judges from Season 1 will be missing from Shark Tank India Season 2, Mamaearth co-founder Ghazal Alagh and BharatPe co-founder Ashneer Grover. Rannvijay Singh Singha, the host of Shark Tank India Season 1, has been replaced in the second season by stand-up comedian Rahul Dua. The sharks made an appearance in the fourteenth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati.

This season introduced various special segments like Beyond the Tank, which followed the progress and journey of the entrepreneurs who appeared in the previous season and their businesses, and Swimming with the Sharks, which traced the sharks personal and professional lives off-camera.

The sharks made an appearance in the fourteenth season of Kaun Banega Crorepati and in The Kapil Sharma Show.

Shark Vineeta Singh pitched her company Sugar Cosmetics on Shark Tank India season 2 to her co-sharks. A special episode of Shark Tank India named Gateway to Shark Tank India streamed on 13 March 2023 on SonyLIV.

Shark Tank India Season 2 Format

The show features a panel of potential investors, termed as “Sharks”, who listen to entrepreneurs pitch ideas for a business or product they wish to develop. These self-made multi-millionaires judge the business concepts and products pitched and then decide whether to invest their own money to help market and mentor each contestant.
