About Materialists Movie

Materialists is an upcoming American romantic comedy film written, directed, and co-produced by Celine Song. The film stars Dakota Johnson, Chris Evans, and Pedro Pascal in the lead roles.

The film was officially announced in February 2024, with principal photography starting on April 29 in New York City. Filming was completed by June 6. In May 2024, the cast expanded with the addition of Zoë Winters, Dasha Nekrasova, Louisa Jacobson, and Marin Ireland.

All three lead actors have appeared in Marvel adaptations. Dakota Johnson portrayed Cassandra Web in Madame Web (2024), Chris Evans famously played Steve Rogers/Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and Pedro Pascal is set to take on the role of Reed Richards in The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025).

Materialists is scheduled to be released in the United States on June 13, 2025, by A24 and internationally by Sony Pictures Releasing International.
